My digital footprint.

I think that I know what a digital footprint is. I think it’s like whenever you connect with something media –like, computers, telephone, cellphones or TV is leaving a digital footprint. Personally I think that having a digital footprint is scary but also useful in some situations. For instance if you were kidnapped in the woods somewhere or in a old abounded house the police could use the GPS on your phone and follow you to where you are. Now that I know what an digital footprint is I will be thinking more about it. When I Google my name I found an old MySpace face of mine that I forgot about and bunch of stories about Facebook and twitter. I liked it because no negative stuff came up. I didn’t really disagree with anything because not many posts about me came up. But there was a picture of me that I posted years ago and its on there even though I deleted it. I actually did like the website where you found out what your digital footprint is. I scored 12. It said I have a low footprint. To be honest I think it’s a little creepy when it showed you all the info about cellphones and TVs. I feel like I’m going to be paranoid. Anyway that’s what I think about my digital footprint.

This video looks at how the media landscape is changing and presents a series of facts detailing how media is changing the world.

1. Computer, there is always advertising on different websites. Like when  you click on a website but instead a bunch of other websites come up,telling you about free games and dating websites that can cause viruses.

2. At least 5 hours a day or more. I spend alot of time on facebook and twitter and frostwire. I never use the computer for homework because i cant focus, there is so many things to do on the computer i cant just have my mind set on one thing.

3. When you post a picture of facebook, it is their property. I thought that was pretty crazy. When you post a picture it is officaly Facebooks property, they can use it for whatever they want.

4. Its important, because its everywhere. You cant walk outside and not see and advirtisement nowdays. It's on cars, buildings,bilboards and signs.

5. I think that in the future the world will be much different. advertisment will be absolutely everywhere. Supposably in the future everything will be technology wise.
